Le Moyne College has announced that all classes are canceled and college offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26, due to an incoming winter storm and weather forecast for the next 18 to 24 hours.
The announcement was sent to students, faculty and staff through campus email and the college’s Rave Alert system Sunday afternoon. According to the message, the decision was made in response to the anticipated severity of the storm and concerns about travel and campus safety.
While classes and offices will be closed, essential personnel are still expected to report to work as scheduled.
In its campus-wide announcement, the college also urged members of the community to exercise caution if they must travel or spend time outdoors. “If you must drive or be outside in the elements, please be careful and stay safe,” the message stated.
No information has yet been released regarding potential impacts on classes later in the week or changes to academic schedules. Students are encouraged to monitor their email and official college communication channels for further updates.
