Men’s Soccer records NE-10 road win at St. Michael’s

Colchester, VT- The Le Moyne College Men’s soccer team extended their unbeaten streak to six games, upending Northeast-10 Conference foe St. Michael’s by a final score of 3-1. The Dolphins, who have been on an absolute tear through the month of October, continue to make their bid as one of the most competitive teams in all of NCAA Division II.

With the contest deadlocked at one apiece heading into the halftime break, and with the Dolphin’s Marek Weber proving to be the only sign of offense for the visitors providing the lone goal off of a Sam Daniel assist, the Le Moyne College men needed to regroup. Assuredly so, the fighting ‘Phins brought the offense in the second half. With 50:25 removed in the contest, Marek Weber assisted on the goal by Patrick Strauss–giving Le Moyne their first lead since 12:09 in the opening half.

With the Dolphin offense harassing the St. Michael’s defense, the ‘Phins kept the pressure on the hometown team. With the continuous bombardment of shots on the St. Michaels goal, the Dolphins finally pushed through with an unassisted goal from Joe Falcone at the 68:59 mark. Falcone’s goal ultimately provided the final blow that broke the St. Michael’s team, as the ‘Phins collected another road win.

The Dolphins  (11-2-2 Overall), (7-2-2 Conf.), close out their regular season as they travel to Waltham, Massachusetts to take on Bentley on Friday October 27, with game time set to kick off at 3:00pm.
