Frechette is a senior attacker on the Le Moyne’s Men Lacrosse team. This veteran is a Syracuse local from Manlius, New York, who formally played for Christian Brothers Academy. Frechette has played in all four games thus far this season. He has scored eight goals and has tallied 15 points to contribute to the Dolphin’s success. Last year Frechette played in all of Le Moyne’s 18 games and finished with 14 goals and 22 assists.
How he got started:
“I started playing lacrosse when I moved to Manlius when I was eight or nine-years-old. It’s a coincident because I grew up as neighbors with Matt Klepper (who currently plays with me at Le Moyne), and his family introduced me to lacrosse. From there, I fell in love with the game.”
Major and future plans:
Frechette is a business management and leadership/ information systems major. Next year he will be pursuing a startup company that enhances entrepreneurship on campuses across the nation.
Person who has had the biggest impact on Nate:
“The person with the biggest impact on me has been my coach growing up, Joe Taylor. I don’t know what it is, but he always found it in me to make me play my best. He was the most positive coach I’ve had and made me want to constantly strive to get better.”
Goals he has reached and what he hopes to achieve:
“Some goals that I have reached in my career have been making it to the national championship my freshman year at Le Moyne. As for the rest of the season, our team has big aspirations. We believe we have a very talented team this year and the more we work together, the better our chances will be at making a run at the National Championship.”
Advice to other players:
“Some advice I would give to other players is to never settle for being good enough, always push yourself to be the best. Also, be coachable. At the end of the day, it’s not just about you as a player, but its about the team.”
Pregame rituals:
“I do not have any outlandish pre game rituals. My main goal on game days is to focus on fulfilling my roll on our team to the best of my abilities.”
Most memorable lacrosse moment:
“My most memorable moment within my lacrosse career has been playing in the national championship game my freshman year in Baltimore. The whole experience was unforgettable, and definitely one of the coolest things I have ever experienced.”
