Brittany Cohen joins the women’s basketball staff

Brittany Cohen begins her first season as graduate assistant to the women’s basketball team this year. She will be joining assistant coach Mandy Pennewell and head coach Rich Conover. Cohen is an alumnus of SUNY Cortland University, where she was a member of the women’s basketball team. After graduating last spring, Cohen is returning to the Syracuse area, having gone to high school at Jamesville-DeWitt.

 

What made you come to Le Moyne to be a graduate assistant?

“I really love basketball and having just graduated from college I still wanted to be involved with it somehow. This opportunity came up and has been great so far.”


What is your role in helping to assist the basketball team?

“My role on the team is to help the coaches and players with whatever they need from me.” 

 

How has your basketball college experience helped you so far at Le Moyne?

“Having played college basketball very recently I can relate to the current players well.”


What graduate work on you studying?

“Currently I am taking a graduate class in education as well as an undergrad class in organic chemistry.”


What is the basketball team working on for their season?

“We are going to be short in height this year so our team is really focusing on defense.”
