The Couple’s Corner
More stories from Grace Lowry
Relationships can be tricky at any point of our lives, but even more so as we enter college and try to figure out our lives, goals, and aspirations. Some of you may still have the same significant other you’ve had since high school. Some of you might have found the love of your life here at Le Moyne. Others might just be avoiding relationships like the plague until they feel ready.
Wherever you are on the relationship scale, I want to remind you that you aren’t alone. I am a member of the long-distance relationship club. My boyfriend lives 3,630 miles away from me and this got me thinking: how many other people on this campus are having a hard time dealing with distance in their relationships? Distance can be defined in more ways than just the literal.
Love is a complicated emotion and life can very easily get in the way. I’ve also come to understand that no relationship is perfect and it’s always easier to be able to talk about issues with someone who can understand what you are going through.
This brings me to why I am here. I want to help you with your relationships, whether your significant other lives down the hall or across the globe. In order for me to help though, I need you to ask me questions.
So please send your questions to [email protected]. They can be about literally anything pertaining to relationships, long-distance or not. Cute date ideas, ways to make Skype calls more fun, love letter ideas, break-up support, literally anything. I’m looking forward to your questions!
All the love,
