Brace yourselves, finals are coming.

LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL. Possibly the most bittersweet time of your life at Le Moyne. Sure, you get to see your family and your friends from high school, but it’s also saying goodbye to all the wonderful people you’ve met here…at least for a few weeks. But the worst part of it all? Finals. But fear not! I’m here to give you a plethora of tips to make finals a little easier.

1) Plan your time

Between all of your courses, there’s a lot to know. But make sure you know which topics you might need a little more time with. If you’re a math whiz, but you struggle with history, take more time to study the French Revolution rather than the Test of Significance.

2) Make Study Guides

This is the oldest trick in the book. Writing something down is the easiest way to remember something—period. If you are more of a visual learner, however, it would be easier for you to make little pictures in the guide to memorize. Know your strengths!

3) Say NO

I know you want one more hurrah with your roommate, but you need to study. If you have a Stats final at 9 a.m. the next morning, but your friend wants to go the bar at midnight, know that’s not the right choice. Whether or not you think a night out will help blow off some steam, it’s going to affect your grade.

4) Get a Tutor!

If you’re really struggling with a certain topic, at the library, you’ll find tutors readily available to help you. Go to the library and get the information, it’ll really help, trust me! There’s nothing wrong with getting a little extra help!

5) Get Some Study Buddies!

We’re all in this together, guys! You’re not alone, trust me! Get a few friends together and some snacks and have a study night. It’ll help you more to do it in a group rather than by yourself.

I hope these tips help you guys! Happy Studying and enjoy your winter break!!
