Welcome Back

We’re looking forward to seeing all of your familiar faces, and meeting new folks as the semester kicks off in the library! Stop over and see what new books, DVDs and resources we picked up over semester break.

As your projects, papers and reports begin, remember to make the library website your first stop for efficient, and high quality research:

New Coffee Machine in the Library!

You don’t have to leave the Library for a good cup of coffee anymore. We now have a coffee vending machine that is as good as your own personal barista! The beans are actually ground in the machine after you type your selection, and each cup is brewed fresh. You can choose from espresso, cappuccino, latte, cafe americano or hot chocolate; including different flavors such as cinnamon and caramel. Prices range from $1.25 to $2.25, and the machine takes cash, credit card or ApplePay. Come brew a cup and taste it for yourself — you won’t be disappointed!

Pet Therapy: Tuesday February 16 from 2-3:30 pm

Pet therapy returns for the spring semester! These events will be held in the Library’s Bernat room following the same first Monday and third Tuesday schedule as last semester:

First Mondays: Feb. 1, April 4, May 2 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
Third Tuesdays: Feb. 16, March 15, April 19 from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.
Special Finals Week Session: Thursday, May 12 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Our next scheduled Pet Therapy event is Tuesday Feb. 16 from 2-3:30 pm.

Book a Room Today!

Don’t forget, you can book study rooms in the library online!  This year, you book individual study rooms, group study rooms or media viewing rooms. If you need a quiet place to work alone or with a group, consider getting a room.   There are links for each type of room on our library website under About Us/Reserve a Room. Or just call 445-4330 to book a room today!

Le Moyne College Book Club: February 10

Come join the Le Moyne College Book Club as we discuss The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell. We will be meeting Wednesday February 10 in the Bernat Special Activities Room in the Noreen Reale Falcone Library from 7-8:30 pm. Refreshments will be served. Please contact Kari Zhe-Heimerman ([email protected]) with any questions.

Maria Rizzo: Trees of Onondaga

The Wilson Art Gallery will host “Trees of Onondaga”, an exhibit of original paintings by Maria Rizzo, whose paintings, inspired by the outdoors, reflect the gratitude she feels for nature and the human connection to it. The exhibit will be on display at the Wilson Art Gallery from January 22- February 19 during regular library hours.
