Wilson Art Gallery Show

Carol Adamec’s show “Playing With Fire: Ceramics, Cast Bronze, and Welded Steel” will be on display in the Wilson Art Gallery, located in the Noreen Reale Falcone Library from Feb. 28th  through March 28th during regular library hours.

Adamec’s work is a three-dimensional interpretation of life’s enjoyable sensations. Through her work, the artist seeks to express the reality of positive emotions we feel in our daily lives. Adamec has said that she is “always deeply satisfied when people see, feel, appreciate and enjoy the expression of relationships, nature and movement” in her works.

Her work has also been displayed in a variety of venues over the past 30 years, including the Rome Art and Community Center, the Everson Museum in Syracuse, Art in the Heart in Ithaca, Sibley’s Ward Gallery in Rochester, and the Red Sky Gallery in Charlotte, N.C. Her work has also  received numerous awards over the years, including many honors from her exhibits at the New York State Fair.

The artist holds a Bachelor in Fine Arts from the SUNY College of Ceramics at Alfred University and has completed graduate work in sculpture from Syracuse University. She has worked as an art teacher at several Rochester and Syracuse area schools.
