Library and Sciences to host a bone marrow registry drive on May 8

In honor of our esteemed colleague Gretchen Pearson (Librarian Emeritus), who is currently suffering from leukemia and awaiting a bone marrow transplant, the Library and the Sciences will be co-hosting  a bone marrow registry drive in the Bernat Special Activities Room from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8 (Study Day).

If you are interested in donating at the event please visit http://marrow.org/Join/Join_the_Registry.aspx

*Please note that if you become a member of the registry, you may be called upon to donate for anyone (not just Gretchen).

Eat, drink and stay up all night in the library

Looking for some sugar or caffeine to help you get through finals? The Library will provide coffee, donuts and candy to help fuel your studying each evening from Monday, May 7, until Thursday, May 10! Snacks will be put out at 8 p.m. each evening and will continue into the night while supplies last. Good luck with finals!

Additionally, the library will remain open 24 hours during these six days: May 7-10 and May 14-15.

Looking for a place to study?

As your semester heats up, come utilize the quiet and group study spaces that the library has to offer. On the second floor of the library, where quiet is enforced, we have individual study rooms, desks and couch areas.  On the first floor of the library are computer areas, printers,  group study areas and couches. There are also four study rooms upstairs that you can reserve in person or via the “Reserve a Room” link on the library homepage.

Le Moyne Annual Student Art Show

Le Moyne College is hosting the Annual Student Art Show in the Wilson Art Gallery of the Noreen Reale Falcone Library from April 13 through May 11. The exhibit can be seen during regular library hours and is composed of a diverse collection of student art, including sculpture, painting and photography. Each reflects the variety of experiences and sources of inspiration of the individuals who created them.

Le Moyne Book Club: May 16

If you are still on campus, come join the May 16 discussion of “In the Garden of the Beasts” by Erik Larson. We begin at 7 p.m. and meet in the Bernat Special Activities Room. Refreshments will be served!
