Dorm Room Recipes: Cup of Cake, Anyone?
More stories from Sarah Willard
With finals just around the corner, the late nights filled with homework and stress could use a good sweet treat to help you relax and reduce your worries. Sometimes there’s nothing better than a little dessert to get you through the long night ahead. So, pull out your coffee cup and just a few basic ingredients to help you with that stress.
What you’ll need:
- 5 tablespoons of chocolate cake mix
- 2 tablespoons of plain or vanilla yogurt
- 1 tablespoon of diet cola
To start, combine all the ingredients in your coffee mug, stirring them with a fork until the mixture is smooth and thick. Then microwave your creation for 60-90 seconds, or until the cake begins to crack and you see it pulling away from the edges of the mug. Once this happens, remove it from the microwave and allow it to cool. For extra goodness, feel free to top your cake off with ice cream, powdered sugar, or even hot fudge.
