Adele vs. Beyonce
February 23, 2017

So the time has come to put away the flip-flops and shorts and say hello to everything pumpkin flavored.  But, before we say goodbye to summer and hello to fall, let’s talk about the top three summer hits. These are the songs that will forever remain in our heads and our hearts…or at least until the end of the year.

  1. Taylor Swift feat. Kendrick Lamar: “Bad Blood”

Yes, it wouldn’t quite be summer — or any season really — without something from Taylor Swift. Take lyrics like, “Band-Aids don’t fix bullet holes,” add Kendrick Lamar, and you’ve got a hit. This was the song of the summer to blare as you took a drive in your car.

  1. Walk the Moon: “Shut Up and Dance”

I like to call this the song you can’t run from. It’s on the radio, it’s in the clubs, it’s on TV,  it’s everywhere 24/7. “Shut Up and Dance” put Walk the Moon on the pop map. I like to call this the song of the summer to dance to.

  1. Wiz Khalifa feat. Charlie Puth: “See You Again”

“See You Again” was released off the Furious 7 soundtrack as a tribute to the late Paul Walker. If you have suffered a loss, it’s hard to listen to this song and not get teary eyed. This was definitely the song of the summer that made you feel.
