Easy Halloween Costume Ideas!

Halloween will be here before we know it! Do you have any ideas for costumes yet? Don’t worry, you’re in luck. I have put together four costumes ideas that are quite easy for a broke college student to put together. I came up with two girl’s costumes and two guy’s costumes to try!

Costume #1: Katy Perry. She’s the coolest it-girl in Hollywood right now; who wouldn’t want to be her for a day? We’ll start at the top of your head. Try to get a blue wig; they’re sold at Wal-Mart. Some wigs can be expensive, so if you don’t want to spend a lot then don’t buy one. Curling your hair will give the same diva effect that you are looking for. Big lustrous curls will be perfect!

The make-up for this look is simple and cute. Use black eyeliner on the top lash line and lots of mascara for big pop star eyes. Next, use pink blush to highlight your cheek bones and a pink glossy lipstick to show off your lips.

Now for the outfit: Katy Perry loves lots of candy and light pastel colors. I have a few options you could choose for the top of your outfit. If you go to any search engine and enter “peppermints,” you’ll get some great pictures of peppermints that can be printed off and duct taped to any white top. A white tank top, t-shirt or long-sleeve shirt could work.

Katy Perry is known for her big candy-coated clothing and stages. For the bottom of this outfit, wear any colorful skirt to finish off this cute outfit! For the shoes, wear either black heels or black flats, whatever you are more comfortable in.

Costume #2: Facebook! Everyone loves Facebook. For the makeup, pick either blue or white (the colors of Facebook) eye shadow to put on your eyes. On the outfit side of the costume, choose either a white or blue plain shirt. Wear any form of pants to complete the outfit as long as they are either blue or white. In short, just make sure you have both blue and white on.

Slap on some black shoes to polish off the look and you are ready to go! If you wanted to go a little more in-depth with this costume, you could purchase fabric paint at any Wal-Mart or arts and craft store. Using the fabric paint, write the Facebook logo onto the plain white/blue shirt to make your outfit more specific. Good luck!

Now onto the guy’s costumes!

Costume #1: The classic football player. It’s that time of the season, so you might as well dress as your favorite football player. This is a pretty simple costume. If you have any face paint, put some of the paint under your eyes for a perfect game face. Sport any of your favorite team’s apparel. If you don’t have any apparel, ask a friend; I’m sure it won’t bother them to let you use it for one night. Pair your apparel with some athletic shorts, high socks and squeaky clean sneakers and you are ready to play!

Costume #2: A guy from the Jersey Shore. If you own any gel, slick your hair into a nice mohawk or maybe a blowout (whatever you prefer). Next, slip on any graphic t-shirt you own. As long as the shirt has a lot of writing, you are good to go. Get your bling on with some gold chains; the dollar store is a great place to buy some cheap gold plastic jewelry. Throw on some cool sunglasses and fresh sneakers and you are ready for a night out!

I hope these costumes help you get some new and fun ideas! Have a hilarious Halloween night!
